Three little birds....

Nick, my purely genius brother, has decided to create a new type of blogging. He wants to write a blog, and then have everyone participate in the blog by sharing their own experiences, thoughts, etc. He wrote a hilarious blog titled three little birds(i dont know why it is titled this) in which he talked about times in his life where he has little "revisitations" of funny moments that happened in the past. To get the full effect of his genius read his blog...nabishopblog.blogspot.com. anyway he had me laughing so hard with his great stories. He wants me to write about hilarious experiences in my life that when I think back on them I laugh. I have had so many embarassing, funny moments in my life but one of them really sticks out to me.

Incident: "whale riding": It was a hot day in Las Vegas. We were on a family vacation soaking up the sun. I was about 10 years old or so. We were staying at the Mandalay Bay Resort. The great thing about this resort is that it had a huge wave pool. At times the waves were weak and would barely move you. But later in the day the waves start to get bigger and bigger. If you think about it....its a pretty odd thing to do. About 50 half naked, overweight, american people stand in a pool and wait for a giant wave to come and send them flying. Once the wave comes, everyone braces themselves and they go tumbling head over heels in the water. Me, being the small wimpy ten year old that I was ,took quite a beating when a large wave came by. So here is where the story story starts to get good....Me and my family were standing in the pool with the rest of the white trash waitng for the biggest wave to come. I look back and see a giant wave building up and coming right at us. Thinking that this one is going to really do some damage to me, I figured that I will just grab on to my dad and have him support me through the wave. soo...1...2....3...here it comes! I take a deep breath, close my eyes, and as the wave womps on me, I grab on to my dads back and hitch a ride. After surviving the beating, I open my eyes and realize that I am on completely on top of a fat hairy whale of a man...a complete stranger. In the background I hear my dad and brothers laughing hysterically at me. I graciously thank the man for the ride and run embarassed to my family. They kept making fun of me for my whale ride...this story is often popping into my head. and everytime it does....i cant help but laugh.

So...there it is....my most hilarious "revisitation". Im sure there are many many more but that is the only one that stands out the most to me.
